Undeniably Confident
Punctuated by a striking chrome grille, the Navigator exudes confidence. Strong, assertive lines throughout its imposing body enhance its powerful exterior, while chrome accents add flair to its commanding presence.
Sets the Standard for Standard Features
Power Liftgate
The 2012 Lincoln Navigator offers a standard power liftgate. Just one button on your key fob or inside the cabin conveniently opens or closes it, allowing you to easily load up groceries, luggage, or anything else.
Power-Folding Heated Exterior Mirrors
Power-folding heated exterior mirrors feature memory settings that will recall programmed positions for two different drivers. The driver’s mirror also comes standard with a convenient spotter mirror. This small convex mirror in the top outer corner of the larger side mirror helps take care of the traditional blind spot.
Power-Deployable Running Boards
Designed to ease exit and entry while enhancing the Navigator’s impressive look, the standard power-deployable running boards automatically extend as the doors open and glide back into the stowed position after the doors are closed.
The Luxury of Extra Room
Designed with the striking and bold confidence of the Navigator, the Navigator L is every bit as powerful, but with even more interior room. Its added length makes room for extra cargo space and a roomier third-row seat. Strong exterior lines, chrome accents, and power-deployable running boards command attention.
Looking Out for You
Parallel parking is easier with the Forward Sensing System. At vehicle speeds below 13 km/h, the system alerts you with an audible beep to obstacles in front of you.
The standard Reverse Sensing System also helps by audibly alerting you to objects behind the vehicle when you’re backing up at slow speeds. The closer you get to the object, the faster the alert sounds.
You Can See Clearly Now
You’ll always have a clear view thanks to Navigator’s rain-sensing wipers, which are automatically activated when rain or snow is detected. The wiper sensitivity can also be adjusted for your convenience.
Luxury in the Details
Navigator’s 20-inch polished aluminum wheels add even more flair to its impressive design.
Safety Under Pressure
This feature helps ensure you that you’re driving with the recommended tire pressure. If any mounted tire drops significantly below its recommended operating pressure, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System lets you know via an alert in the message centre and warning lamp in the instrument cluster.
What’s Inside Truly Matters
Using the finest materials, the interior of the 2012 Lincoln Navigator provides as much presence as its impressive exterior. You’ll find detailed craftsmanship throughout.
From chrome door handles and a leather- and wood-trimmed steering wheel to the detailed, rectangular gauges, and flow-through console, Navigator is as impressive on the inside as it is on the outside.

Comfort Comes Standard
Never compromising on comfort, the 2012 Lincoln Navigator offers standard heated/cooled front seats with three comfort settings. The second-row seats feature heat with two comfort settings.
Luxury at the Touch of a Button
Take command of your surroundings. Adjust your pedals, mirrors and steering wheel to your liking. Then find your ideal seat position by adjusting it 10 different ways. Set it into memory.
The next time you drive, just unlock the door with your specific key fob or hit the corresponding memory button, and everything will move to where you like it. The Lincoln Navigator offers memory settings for two different drivers.
Third-Row Seat
The standard PowerFold® third-row seat comfortably accommodates three passengers. At just the touch of a button, the seat folds to the floor in one fluid motion, effortlessly creating a flat load floor.
Permission to Speak Freely
The cabin of the 2012 Lincoln Navigator boasts sound-deadening material, located in the headliner, dash, and door panels. Acoustic laminate glass in the windshield helps to create an ultra-quiet oasis.
Quiet Steel® technology helps eliminate engine compartment sound and resonance in the passenger cabin.
* Quiet Steel is a trademark of Material Sciences Corporation.
Room to Spare
With many different seating configurations, the spacious interior of the 2012 Lincoln Navigator provides up to 2,925 litres (103.3 cu. ft.) of storage space. * If you need even more room, opt for the Navigator L with 3,630 litres (128.2 cu, ft.) of total storage room, including an impressive 1,206.3 litres (42.6 cu. ft.) behind the third row.
That’s enough space for luggage, groceries, or just about anything your trip requires. Storage is easy with the Navigator L’s standard Cargo Management System. For smaller items, there is a first-row floor console, second-row centre console, storage areas under the floor behind the third row, as well as bins in the rear quarter trim panels.
*Cargo and load capacity limited by weight and weight distribution.
Hands-free Phone and Music
Enter Lincoln Navigator with your paired Bluetooth®-enabled mobile phone or plug your digital media player into its USB port. The Lincoln SYNC®* voice-activated communications and entertainment system knows you’re there. Press a steering wheel button, say, “Call office” or “Play Genre: Rock,” and it follows your commands. But that’s not all. Developed in concert with Microsoft, SYNC® with 911 Assist™ can place an emergency call from your phone if any airbag has deployed.** And unlike other systems that send you to a call centre first, SYNC connects you directly to a 911 operator. You talk. SYNC listens.™
* Some mobile phones and some digital media players may not be fully compatible. Visit SyncMyRide.ca for full connectivity details. Driving while distracted can result in loss of vehicle control. Only use mobile phones and other devices, even with voice commands, when it is safe to do so.
** The vehicle’s electrical system (including the battery), the wireless service provider’s signal, and a connected mobile phone must all be available and operating for 911 Assist to function properly. These systems may become damaged in a crash. The paired mobile phone must be turned on, connected to SYNC, and the 911 Assist feature enabled in order for 911 to be dialed.
Flexibility at the Pump
Delivering 310 horsepower and 365 lb.-ft. of torque, the 5.4L SOHC V8 engine of the 2012 Lincoln Navigator is flex fuel capable, which makes it powerful and versatile. You can fill up with E85 (a blend of ethanol and gasoline), regular gasoline, or any combination of the two. And its strength goes beyond the gas pumps. Navigator can tow up to 3946 kg (8,700 lbs.) when properly equipped.
Shift your Expectations
The 2012 Lincoln Navigator utilizes its six-speed automatic transmission to deliver quick acceleration and smooth power while improving shift quality through the transmission’s small steps between gears.
Power Under Control
You can’t control the weather, but Navigator’s standard Control Trac® Four-Wheel Drive (4WD) system can help you deal with it by giving you more traction for wet or snowy surfaces, or even improved handling on dry roads.
The convenient Automatic Four-Wheel Drive monitors all four wheels and when encountering slippery conditions, sends more torque to the wheels with the best traction.
You’re in for a Smooth Ride
The 2012 Lincoln Navigator has a multilink independent rear suspension that allows each rear wheel to react independently. This helps Navigator deliver a refined ride with outstanding handling, while easily maintaining its composure over uneven road surfaces.
Protection When You Need It
Navigator has an innovative system that uses a network of sensors to determine protection for the driver and front passenger in certain frontal collisions. It customizes the deployment of the dual-stage front airbags* based on several criteria: 1) the driver’s seat position; 2) whether the front passenger seat is occupied and the weight range of the occupant; 3) whether the front safety belts are in use; and 4) the overall severity of the impact.
*Always wear your safety belt and secure children in the rear seat.
Surrounded by Safety
Lincoln Navigator helps provide comprehensive passive safety projection. The vehicle features a total of six standard airbags* to help provide occupant protection. That includes the Safety Canopy® System, which helps protect you and your passengers in the unfortunate event of a rollover or side-impact accident. The system includes rollover detection, and side-curtain airbags. The front seat side airbags deploy from the outboard seatback to help to its occupants no matter how the seat is positioned.
*Always wear your safety belt and secure children in the rear seat.
Ready, Willing and Stable.
AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll Stability Control™)* is the industry’s only electronic stability control system with two gyroscopic sensors — one of which is a unique vehicle-roll motion sensor that directly measures the vehicle’s roll rate 100 times every second. Working in conjunction with the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS), traction control and yaw control, AdvanceTrac with RSC uses the roll rate and other information to automatically determine when and how it will apply individual brakes and/or modify engine power to help keep all four wheels of Lincoln Navigator firmly planted.
* Remember that even advanced technology cannot overcome the laws of physics. It’s always possible to lose control of a vehicle due to inappropriate driver input for the conditions.
The Luxury of Peace of Mind
SecuriLock® Passive Anti-Theft System
This system is designed to help prevent the engine from being started unless a coded key, programmed to your vehicle, is used. This standard system automatically arms after the key is removed from the ignition.
Remote Keyless Entry System
The Remote Keyless Entry System lets you unlock the doors and liftgate by simply pushing a button on the key fob. No more fumbling with car keys. There is also a panic alarm on the key fob that flashes the parking lamps and sounds the horn.
SecuriCode™ Keypad
The keypad on the driver’s door lets you unlock the doors and liftgate, release the liftgate window, and even activate/deactivate the autolock system.
See What You’re Missing
Lincoln Navigator is equipped with a rear-view camera display in the navigation screen that will help to ease your mind when reversing at slow speeds.
The Key to Personalized Safety
The industry-first MyKey feature lets you program and assign separate keys for additional drivers, all coded to enforce your specific restrictions on vehicle functions like top speed and audio volume. When activated, MyKey encourages smart driving behaviour by muting audio until safety belts are buckled, prohibiting the shutoff of key collision-avoidance features like AdvanceTrac® with RSC® (Roll Stability Control™), and more.
Calls Help for You
Additional peace of mind comes from the standard SOS Post-Crash Alert System,™* which becomes operational in the event of airbag deployment or safety belt pretensioner activation. If either of these occurs, the hazard lights flash and the horn sounds so that your vehicle may be more easily located. In this case, drawing attention to yourself is a very good thing.
* SOS hardware may become damaged or the battery may lose power in a crash, which could prevent operation. Not all crashes will activate an airbag or safety belt pretensioner
